W.S.G.S PROGRAMME. June 2017

W.S.G.S. meetings are held of the third Friday of each month at 7.30pm (no meetings in July and August) at St Stephen's Church, Angola Road, Worthing. Although every effort is made to notify of any changes, we advise members to confirm field trips and lectures at least one week in advance. Details and further information from:-

The Geologists' Association holds a combined Ancillary Policy with Zurich Insurance Company through which our Society members are insured. On any field trip you are required to wear helmets and high visibility jackets in quarries. This is always advised. Goggles must be worn when hammering and suitable footwear be worn at all times.

Sussex Geological Society at Littlehampton Musuem

West Sussex Geological Society and the Littlehampton Musuem join forces to showcase their collections of local minerals,rocks and fossils. Visitors will travel back in time hundreds of millions of years to learn the fascination history of the county as told by its rocks.
The Exhibition will be accompanied by geology identification sessions on 1st April and 6th May, 10.30 to 13.30.

We are a Local Group of the Geologists' Association; therefore we can attend any of their lectures or field trips at a minimal cost. Details of their field trips are in the G.A. Magazine available at our meetings. The G.A. Magazine is on the table at the back of the hall.
